Parents, please note the following: Unless notified, all Sessions begin promptly at 9:30 am and will end at 12 noon. Parents please pick up your children on time. Students arriving after 9:45 am will not receive credit for attending that session.

Saturday, September 10, 2011 - Student/Parent Orientation (Staff)
Students and parents will meet with staff to discuss the program for 2011-2012 and complete registration and medical release forms.
Saturday, September 17, 2011 - Community Service (Lewis)
Students will volunteer their services in the community.
Saturday, September 24, 2011 - Teen Summit and Children’s Museum
Students will participate in a Teen Summit regarding finance at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor City (8:30am – 2:00pm). Pre-teens are scheduled to go to Children’s Museum in Tampa (9:30 – 12:00).
Saturday, October 1, 2011 - Study Skills (Holley)
Students will receive tips on taking notes, studying for tests and other techniques that will help them receive and maintain higher grades.
Saturday, October 8, 2011 – Town Hall Meeting (Holley)
Students will discuss the 2012 presidential election and candidate views.
Saturday, October 15, 2011 – Plant the Garden (Norwood/Fort)
Students will assist staff in preparing our garden and fall planting.
Saturday, October 22, 2011 - Fun with Geography/College Prep (Lovetts/Holley)
Students will participate in activities related to world geography. High school juniors, seniors and their parents will discuss college preparation. (End of first grading period)
Saturday, October 29, 2011 - 5th Sunday Congress/No Session
Students can attend the youth session of Congress.
Saturday, November 5, 2011 - Arts & Crafts (Staff)
Students and staff will create some crafts for our Christmas Bazaar.
Saturday, November 12, 2011 - 1st South Florida Association/No Session
Students can attend a one day session of the Association.
Saturday, November 19, 2011 - No Session/Sponsor bus trip to Florida Classic
SOC will offer a bus trip to Orlando for those interested in attending.
Saturday, November 26, 2011 – Thanksgiving Break/No Session
Enjoy a blessed meal with family and friends.
Saturday, December 3, 2011 – Christmas Bazaar (Staff)
Staff and students will host a bazaar with crafts, baked goods and other items.
Saturday, December 10, 2011 - FCAT Reading & Writing Part I (Holley)
Students will receive instructions and practice materials to help them prepare for FCAT testing.
Saturday, December 17, 2011 - Talent Show (Norwood/Jones)
Students will share their unique talents.
Saturday, December 24, 2011 - Christmas Break/No Session
Merry Christmas to our students and their families.
Saturday, December 31, 2011 - New Years Break/No Session
Happy New Year to our students and their families.
